David completed his law degree with honours in 2000. He spent some time working as a Clerk in a family law practice in London before commencing his Articles of Clerkship at Holding Redlich in 2000. There he worked in Employment Law and Commercial Litigation. In 2002 David became an Associate to a County Court Judge, spending one year working in the Civil List, mainly concerned with Personal Injury cases and one year in the Criminal List dealing with a wide range of Appeals , Pleas and Criminal trial.
