John worked extensively in Personal Injury, Common Law and WorkCover matters as a solicitor with Arnold Thomas & Becker and Maurice Blackburn Cashman.



He has held the positions of Solicitor in Charge of the Aboriginal Legal Service, West Kimberley, Western Australia and Senior Solicitor, Northern Territory Legal Aid Commission, Alice Springs. In these positions he has had many years experience appearing in the equivalent of the Magistrates' Court, County Court and Supreme Court running committal hearings, summary hearings, bail applications, jury trials, single judge appeals and civil matters.



John also has extensive Family Law experience and has conducted urgent applications for recovery, interim and final contact and residence applications and relocation hearings in the Family Court and the Federal Magistrates' Court.
