Prior to coming to the bar, Robin was Associate to Federal Magistrate Riethmuller. Robin assisted the Court with matters relating to family law, child support, and migration. He has a sound knowledge of these areas of law and of the Court's processes and procedure.

Upon admission, Robin worked as a solicitor in a boutique commercial and construction law firm, practicing in both litigious and non-litigious matters. Robin has also volunteered at a range of community legal centres, including the Monash Oakleigh Legal Service, the Family Law Assistance Program and the SouthPort Community Legal Service.

Robin is undertaking postgraduate studies at Monash University on International and Comparative Law. He has studied subjects on international criminal law, cyber-crime, European Union law, intellectual property, and human rights. He is currently researching a thesis on the application of corporate criminal liability to the State.

Robin has a strong interest in information technology. He co-authored a paper on the digitisation of the law which was presented at the AIJA Law & Technology Conference. He was also a member of the eFiling Business Policy Discussion Group at the FMC, which examined the implementation of the Court's eFiling developments.
